Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using BeautyOS, a product of Avid Lab Technology ("Company", "we", "us") ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including businesses ("Operators") and their clients.

2. Description of service

BeautyOS provides software tools for service businesses including online booking, client management, AI-powered phone reception, appointment reminders, and payment processing. Features vary by subscription plan.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in your jurisdiction.
  • One account per business. Sharing accounts across unrelated businesses is prohibited.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance.
  • All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and exclude applicable taxes.
  • You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No refunds for partial months unless required by applicable law.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

5. AI receptionist and communications

  • The AI receptionist handles calls and messages on your behalf. You are responsible for the accuracy of information provided to it (hours, services, pricing).
  • SMS and calling features are subject to Twilio's acceptable use policy and applicable CRTC regulations.
  • You must obtain appropriate consent before sending marketing messages to your clients.
  • Call recordings, where enabled, must comply with local wiretapping and consent laws.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Send spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or harassing communications.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the platform.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users.

7. Data and privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your business data. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the Service.

8. Uptime and support

We target 95% monthly uptime excluding scheduled maintenance. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Support is provided via email; response times vary by plan.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeautyOS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost revenue, lost bookings, or data loss) arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or illegal activity, with notice where reasonably practicable. You may terminate by cancelling your subscription through the dashboard.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
